Building Management System

A Building Management System (BMS), also known as a Building Automation System (BAS), is a centralized control system that monitors and manages a building’s mechanical, electrical, and security systems. These systems typically include heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), lighting, power systems, fire alarms, and security. A BMS is designed to enhance the operational efficiency, comfort, safety, and energy performance of buildings by automating routine functions and providing real-time monitoring and control.

Through the use of sensors and controllers, the BMS can adjust settings based on occupancy, time schedules, or external conditions to optimize energy use, reduce costs, and maintain a comfortable environment for occupants. It also provides valuable data and insights into system performance, allowing facility managers to quickly identify and address any issues. BMS systems are commonly used in commercial buildings, hospitals, airports, and large residential complexes, helping to improve sustainability and operational effectiveness.
